TRIAD (for Dimwits)

TRIAD is available on every single credit card processing platform in the UK. Whether you process with FDI, Tsys, another third party, or on your own system, TRIAD is available, even if you choose not to use it.

With this in mind it’s surprising how few people actually understand what TRIAD is. If you were to mention “TRIAD” amongst a mixed company of credit card professionals many of them will stare back blankly in terror, whilst others will sigh or look heavenwards as if to say “not that thing again”.

Developed initially for a credit card company who wanted to educate it’s staff during voluntary “lunch and learn” sessions, our “TRIAD for Dim Wits” presentation (optional title) has since become adapted, refined, enhanced and, even if we say so ourselves, fairly legendary.

Aimed at an audience that has little or no knowledge of TRIAD, we start with “behaviour scoring”, what a behaviour score is, what it means, and how it’s calculated, before moving onto TRIAD, what a strategy is, what strategy areas there are, what you can do within TRIAD, what random digit groups are, scenarios, estimators, PCTMS and other TRIAD related terminology that you might have heard.

The presentation can be tailored to whatever the needs of the audience might be, and whatever time constraints might be in place. We’ve delivered the presentation to senior management in under thirty minutes, but we've also turned it into a full blown half day training session for the system specialists and techies.

We’ve had (non-TRIAD) clients ask to see our presentation before calling upon Fair Isaac, and we’ve had clients, who are existing TRIAD users, use our presentation to run awareness sessions for their staff.
